I was once an RGN (Registered General Nurse) student. I went into nursing to be a missionary, not kill people, so when I found out there were secret plans not to resuscitate patients, and other ways they finished up without the planned resuscitation, I went on Channel 4 TV News in England to try to expose the practices. However I would describe the TV broadcast as a clever cover-up. They actively refused to allow me to quote evidence of a planned resuscitation that did not occur, even though the patient and relatives thought a resuscitation would be performed in the event of a cardiac arrest.
If you want to see just how bad the secret practices were just see the paper that was published by one of the hospitals I worked in, where I made complaints about subjects like "The Hollywood Code" "Light Blue" or "The slow code".

Porneia .
PORNEIA .
There was no word in Koine Greek that just meant fornication. If a person said at that time "He was committing porneia with his boyfriend" it is obvious adultery is discounted from the meaning of the word from the get-go, and so was heterosexual sex acts of any kind. We see then that it is entirely obvious that when using a general word that can mean multiple things, it can be used in a context that modifies or focuses the meaning into a specific definition. This is all obvious grammar. The writers of the modern version, and the heretic theologists of our time therefore have no excuse for missing or ignoring the fact that in Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9 the word porneia had already the meaning of adultery discounted from its in context use.
In defence of the writers of modern versions that wrote "sexual immorality" and not "adultery" as the interpretation in their Modern Version, you could say literal interpretation to its broad meaning still gives space to specify adultery has already been discounted, and if after the fact a translator in modern versions "redeemed" the situation by admitting that, it would be useful, and less of a likelihood he or she would incur eternal damnation for heresy. I am however unaware of any such attempt at redeeming the mistake.
Porneia - new testament meaning.
It is exceptionally important that Christians understand the ancient Greek word porneia, and how it can be modified by its context. This is because in Acts 15 God makes it plain, in a conceptual overview, that in the law of the new and better covenant huge amounts of old testament ceremonial laws and food laws are being exchanged for an emphasis on two very important things, the avoidance of idols and idolatry, and avoiding sexual sin "from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well,"
ACTS 15: PORNEIA.
In this chapter the word porneia I believe is not modified by the context. Some might argue it only means avoiding sexual sins that were connected to false religions of the time, such as temple prostitution. We must all answer for our teachings and interpretations on the day of judgement, and my interpretation has already been given, that is that the majority of bible versions get it correct here, the broad meaning of "sexual immorality" or "sexual sins" is what "porneia" means, the standard use of the word, revealing a core centre plan of God to dissuade people in the new covenant law to avoid two issues that cause catastrophic damage to the human race - provoking God with false gods and idols, and the shattering consequences of sexual sin and immorality in general. One great benefit of obeying God in this way is that if people marry as virgins, and stay faithful for life in one marriage (a divine symbol of God's faithful love for his church and total commitment) they will avoid all the complexity, doubts and embarrassments of the doctrine / theology dealing with the effects of sexual transgression about who you can or cannot marry, including the rights of individuals not to be deceived by false claims of virginity, and whether a "law of obligation" exists or is inferred in Christ's law if a man gets a woman pregnant.

What does porneia mean?
-
Porneia is a general term for any kind of sexual activity that is considered immoral

From my considerable studies of the subject I feel it is necessary to add another facet to the expounded list of related sins, and that is "prenuptial sex" which is seen as illicit in many cultures, and is a major interpretation held by Christian theologists.
